Low Emission Engines
Nissan’s FO4 Series offers a choice of two in-line 6-cylinder industrial engines; including the S6S diesel and Nissan’s own TB45, available in gasoline, LPG or dual fuel. These powerful engines provide dependable performance for a range of applications, while meeting all EPA requirements for low emissions.

The Nissan TB45 tamper-proof engine incorporates electronic fuel injection combined with a three-way catalytic system. Its fuelsystem includes an automotive-type closed-loop design, analyzes engine performance parameters and optimizes engine operation, resulting in enhanced productivity through high combustion efficiency. This in turn results in both lower fuel consumption and emission levels. This system also includes an Engine Control Module (ECM), which responds to sensor input by controlling basic engine-related functions, such as proper air/fuel ratio, torque and speed, based on the requirements of the application.

The TB45’s standard engine protection system prevents overheating by controlling the engine speed and fuel delivery. When the water reaches a consistent temperature of 230ºF, a creep home mode is activated, reducing engine revolutions to 1600 RPMs. Once a temperature of 275ºF is reached, the fuel supply is shut off, reducing the engine RPMs to 1000.

Durable Design Features
The FO4’s super cooling system consists of an oversized fan and wide cooling outlet, for enhanced airflow and dependable cooling efficiency,even in the toughest applications. A heavy-duty fabricated steer axle protects the steer cylinder from debris and damage whiletapered roller bearings in the steer knuckles provide longer life and steering ease.

Operator Compartment and Control Features
The FO4’s spacious operator compartment provides ample head, foot and leg room for a variety of driver sizes, while power-boosted brakes offer reduced pedal effort and enhanced operating ease. Its operator restraint system includes a sculpted two-piece seat with hip and lumbar support. The seat belt’s non-cinch design provides the operator added comfort during normal reverse movement.

The FO4’s instrument panel display is integrated within an infinitely adjustable steering column that offers a full 5" of movement, providing maximum comfort and excellent display panel visibility regardless of steering wheel position. An efficient compartment layout of directional control lever, wide steering wheel, and Nissan’s exclusive combined single lift/tilt control lever enhances operator productivity. The FO4’s hydrostatic power steering minimizes operator fatigue, while offering exceptional control and maneuverability.

Ease of Maintenance
Dual gas spring assists keep the FO4’s clamshell hood open for wide engine compartment access. Daily operator checks can be performed quickly and easily with access to the engine oil dipstick, radiator coolant recovery bottle, brake fluid reservoir, hydraulic oil dipstick, air cleaner and battery. A two-piece radiator cover can be easily removed for fast, simple access.
